In any institute of higher education acceptable
standards in behaviour are expected
The Code of Conduct generally remain
displayed in the website
But the real task is to make the
Code of Conduct observable and put them into practice.
In Bankim Sardar College it is one of
our objectives to internalise the Code of Conduct particularly amongst the
students through several practices

Principal meets the students at regular intervals for
imbibing the spirit of

Students
in difficulties can approach the Principal at his office at any point of time and
the Principal talks to their heart and share his experience and wisdom and make
them believe in the Code of Conduct. The counselling by the Principal
encourages the students to feel at home and paves way towards self discipline
in the institution.

– Orientation
Programme for 1st year Students
On this day the Principal and the
Teachers meet the students in a general assembly and make them aware of the
college code of conduct and the sense of discipline in every sphere of life
Practice 6 – Orientation Programmes
for Guardians
On this day the Principal and the
Teachers meet the parents and make them aware about what are the minimum
standards in behaviour that are expected from their wards
Practice 7 – Annual Programmes
01. On the day of the International Women’s Day the students across both genders appreciate and observe the Gender Policy of the college is Respect Women and be Respected.

02. On the day of the Rakhi
Purnima the teacher mentors and the students mentees organise
the spirit of harmony amongst the school students, neighbourhood, Hindus
and Muslims and develop the sense of oneness

03. On any day of July / Aug the college observes Vriksharopana Utsav and Meen Mangal invoking nature’s fertility and students participate in the Tree Planting Ceremony and Cultivation of Fish saplings in the college water bodies .

04. On any day of birth anniversary of the former Presidents – Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam – students and teachers in unison observes the Teachers’ Day and the International Students Day with the objective of building teacher student inter personal relationships

05. The college also observes NCC day, NSS day during the commencement of the academic year and enthuse the students with the spirits of contributing to the public life by social service and sacrifice

06. The college also observes the Independence day and the Republic day as neighbourhood relation building days. Students are made to learn beyond the narrow periphery of shelf and self and extend beyond campus to develop a holistic self. Students visit nearby schools and love the young kids.

Practice 8 – Commemorating Birth
Anniversaries or Events
Swachata Saptaha (Campus Clean and Green Week) was observed
during Sept 2017 to commemorate Gandhiji’s 150th birth anniversary and
to spread the values of cleanliness amongst the students

Sampriti Saptaha (Harmony Week) was observed during Sept 2018
to commemorate the 125th anniversary of Chicago Address to spread
the wisdom of harmony amongst the students

Professional Ethics and Legal Awareness
The Department of Political Science and the Internal Quality
Assurance Cell organises Workshop on Professional Ethics and Legal Awareness
for the students, teachers, staff and local villagers in the neighbourhood

Practice 10 – Statutory Bodies to
review and monitor the disciplinary affairs

Governing Body regularly
make reviews of disciplinary matters of the teachers and staff
