Fundamental of
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System
College offers Geospatial
Training under the name- “Fundamental of Remote Sensing and Geographic
Information System” (RSGIS) which is certified the college itself. This
program is running since 2018-19.
Course duration – 40 Hours
On successful completion students
receive certification from the college itself
The successful students are also
offered to join an online training Programme from ISRO for certification from
ISRO
For ISRO certification:
Step 1.
Online

Students
provided with User Id and Password
Step 3.
Regular
Attendance maintained in ISRO Outreach Programme .
Step 4.
On
completion of the online Programme ISRO would conduct online examination date
Step 5.
Candidates
having 75 % attendance are eligible to appear for the examination

Session 3: Preparation of
FCCs TCCs from IRS LISS-3 and Landsat 7ETM+ or Landsat 8 and OLI
data, image interpretation,
Image enhancement.
Session 4: Image
classification, post-classification analysis and class editing
Session 5: Identification
of different Physical and cultural fetchers from different Satellite
Images
Session 6: Prepare of
inventories land use and land cover map (Supervise and Unsupervised
Classification method) from
satellite images
Session 7: Preparation of
land-use / land cover overlay from satellite images and Preparation of digital
elevation models and their applications.
After successful
completion of the above pilot course a student may opt for enrollment to an
online training delivered by the ISRO as a part of their Outreach Program for
certification.

After passing all
the examination a student will get certificate from BANKIM SARDAR COLLEGE.
